Scientific Advisory Board

The scientific advisory board (Wissenschaftlicher Beirat) provides advisory assistance in all matters that are relevant for the scientific work of the institute. The board is responsible for the current evaluation of the R&D activities of the institute.

The scientific advisory board has nine renowned scientific members from different institutions whereby

1. four are from universities;
2. two are from geological surveys;
3. three are from industry or other non-academie research institutions,

and all are active in geoscientific or geoscientific-technical disciplines and having respective experience. Two scientists should be from a country outside  of Germany, one scientist should be from the Technical University Clausthal.

The specific tasks of the scientific advisory board are noted in the constitution of the institute.
