Geode

Presently there are 12 geodes @ 24 channels and 1 geode @ 6 channels available for field work, resulting in a channel count of 294. Geophone cables are connected to the device using self-made adapters (Gisewski G52). Power supply is realised with 24 Ah batteries embedded in self-made boxes. The single geode devices are connected with 120 m long network cables, two of which can be interconnected. A total of 22 network cables enable a geophone  layout of 2600 m. The recording software is installed on a Windows XP Laptop. To achive a fast data transmission, which is especially important for non-correlated vibroseis data, more than one network can be connected to the laptop.
